One of the things I inherited from my husband when we got married was a wine club membership to Mumm Napa, which he has been holding onto for years like a bubbly security blanket. Fortunately, the wines are good, and we use our regular deliveries as our “house sparkling” for the most part. No one has ever complained about drinking Napa when what you’re serving is sparkling.
Mumm Napa truly is for anyone who wants to feel fancy without sliding into financial regret. It’s under the same umbrella as G.H. Mumm in Champagne, so the quality is spot on, but the prices are way more reasonable than most actual Champagne.
This bottle was included in our recent shipment, and I had just heard about some wines made from a musqué clone while visiting Long Island wine country, so I was eager to try this one…
