Tips for Selecting Premium Spanish Wines in Biscayne Times

Earlier this summer, I had the opportunity to visit a few wineries located throughout northern Spain while on my honeymoon. One of those wineries was the sparkling producer, Gramona, located in the Penedès region in Catalonia. Gramona is part of the Grandes Pagos de España, a non-profit organization of 36 wineries across Spain dedicated to producing excellent wines that preserve the single vineyard personality of unique Spanish terroir.

Though the winery is located in the traditional Cava-producing region of Spain, Gramona no longer labels its wines as such. Instead, the family-owned winery uses the new Corpinnat designation.
